Contracts & Procurement for Wind Energy
When developers negotiate a TSA, they’re across the table from a WTG OEM team that does this every day.So do I.
I spent ten years on the WTG OEM side, selling and executing wind turbine contracts. Since 2023, I have been negotiating them for developers, IPPs, utilities and floating technology providers.

Where I work
Maymard Partners specialises in wind turbine contracts for offshore, onshore and floating wind.
Two suppliers left.Tender timing is critical.
With a WTG duopoly in Europe, a well-timed, robust PSA, backed by solid TSA and SMA terms, is essential.
Offshore services → Onshore windA mature market, thin margins. The WTG remains central to project success.
A competitive tender and a TSA with no surprises on site make the difference between a project on budget and one in the red.
Onshore services → Floating offshore windNo standard contract yet.Defining the interfaces.
The split of responsibilities between the floater and the wind turbine is yet to be standardised. I help floating technology providers write it into their agreements with the WTG OEM.
Floating services →I’m an engineer with specialised training in contract law. I read the technical specification and the contract together, because the risks hide in the details of both. I negotiate for frank, open discussions on risk allocation, and I write contracts in plain language: no small print, just clear agreements.
